Things you will need:
Pen, Paper, Measure Tape
Inside Fit:
Fitted blinds are installed within the window frame, also known as inside mount or inside fit.
Opting for an inside fit is popular due to its sleek appearance, which is often preferred over an outside fit.
Measuring Inside Fit:
When measuring the inside fit blinds, ensure to take precise measurements using a measure tape, providing the tightest dimensions for both width and drop.
The manufacturer may account for minor deductions needed for proper fitting within the window opening. Take measurements at three points for both width and drop (as displayed in the illustration), selecting the smallest measurements for accuracy.
Tip: This type of installation may permit some light to filter through the blind's outer edges. If desired, this light leakage can be reduced by positioning the blind deeper within the window frame. Option to use Honeycomb blinds to minimize the gaps as much as possible.
Outside Fit:
Outside mount refers to the installation of roller blinds where the blind is mounted on the wall or above the window frame, rather than inside the window recess.
This installation method maximizes light control, privacy, and the illusion of larger windows, making it an ideal choice for those seeking versatility and style in their window treatments.
Measuring Outside Fit:
First, measure the dimensions of the window recess or frame (as displayed in the illustration), then add a slight additional allowance on all sides, approximately 40- 50mm, to ensure sufficient coverage.
No deductions will be made from the provided measurements.
Please note that when measuring the width, you're determining the placement of the brackets, not the width of the fabric itself.
Tip: For optimal light control, we recommend installing Outside Fit Roller blinds
